Dry Pancake Mix Made With Fresh Milled Flour (Just Add Water)

This dry pancake mix made with fresh milled flour is easy to make ahead for a camping weekend! It takes 5 ingredients to make the mix and then all you need is water to make them! One batch makes approximately 24 pancakes.

Ingredients
  

  • 575 grams fresh milled soft white wheat flour (approx. 6 cups flour)
  • 1 cup sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 cup non-fat dry milk powder or dry buttermilk powder
  • 1/4 cup baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl or gallon ziploc bag. Mix/shake until well combined. Store in an airtight container.
How to Make Pancakes Using the Mix
  1. If using the whole batch add 4 cups of water to the dry mix and mix until just combined. Don't overmix.
    Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto your pre-heated skillet or griddle.
    Flip when bubbles form on the surface and pop, creating holes that stay open. Finish on the other side until golden and enjoy!
  2. For smaller serving (approx. 6 pancakes):
    Add 1 1/2 cups dry pancake mix to a bowl and add 1 cup of water. Mix until just combined. Don't overmix.
    Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto your pre-heated skillet or griddle.
